#Showbiz: 'I miss acting but now's not the time,' says footballer's actress wife Ayu Raudhah

KUALA LUMPUR: "I don't feel any panic when Zaquan Adha loses his job because we believe in rezeki. We have been married for 13 years.

"He plays football and his rezeki is not just from that alone. He has rezeki elsewhere and we believe in that. A salary is only an amount but our rezeki is still our rezeki," said actress Ayu Raudhah in a Harian Metro report yesterday.

The 39-year-old artiste-turned-entrepreneur was commenting on family life now that her husband no longer plays for the Negeri Sembilan Football Club (NSFC).

Ayu, who is also the younger sister of actress Rozita Che Wan, said that she is grateful to be currently busy managing her sambal business where she sells her products on TikTok.

This mother of six believes that each of her children also has their own rezeki.

"I've received acting offers but now is not the time because the children are still small with the youngest being only 10 months old. My priority is to my family and husband.

"I feel grateful that I can do business from home now. It's an amazing and unexpected blessing. The reception has also been encouraging," she said.

She added that during the Movement Control Order (MCO), Zaquan played for the Kedah football team while she sold chicken rice.

"He then moved to Negeri Sembilan. I already had a steady stream of regular customers who asked me to make the rice for them. I had to start my sales in Negeri Sembilan.

"However, those who lived far away also asked for it so I thought about how I could make it for them. Finally, the idea of making sambal which could travel around Malaysia came up.

"It's high in demand during the fasting month. We produce it at home every two days. Zaquan and I bought the chili and bottles at the store. We're tired but can't complain since it's rezeki from God," she said.

Ayu added that her business, which only began running for two months, has already yielded sales of 4,000 bottles on TikTok and 6,000 bottles outside.

"I do miss acting but now is not the time. There are other important things to focus on. When I'm on live TikTok sessions, fans would ask if I wanted to act again or not. But if I want to act, I have to fully commit to it," she said.
