KUALA LUMPUR: Dewan Filharmonik Petronas (DFP) has established an initiative called Generasi DFP to support young and new talent in the music and arts landscape of Malaysia.
For over 25 years, DFP has stood as a beacon of arts and culture in the capital city, hosting illustrious artistes and groups from a variety of music genres and artistic expressions.
Through Generasi DFP, this year DFP aims to provide a platform for singer-songwriters, and aspiring musicians to come forward and showcase their undiscovered talents.
To foster a vibrant music community and to be the stage for local talents to shine, DFP invites our youths on a journey of discovery and an amazing celebration of music.
DFP will be accepting video submissions of auditions from March 22 to April 5.
The videos can be sent to the DFP website at www.dfp.com.my.
DFP encourages artistes aged 18 to 30 years old from various music genres, who write their compositions and are not signed to any recording labels to participate.
Selected talents will be featured in scheduled concerts throughout this year at DFP.
