KUALA LUMPUR: Air Force The Movie actor Aiman Hakim Ridza has told all netizens that he is "very much alive" despite social media rumours that he had died.
"I am very much alive. I don't know who that netizen was, who made a Facebook post saying that I had passed away recently," said the 35-year-old actor in a Harian Metro report yesterday.
Aiman added that his close friends and relatives alerted him to the "news" and it initially came as a shock to him.
"Certain individuals just want to profit from crazy rumours and untruths. There have been many death hoaxes over the years especially in the United States, targeting Hollywood's big names," he said in a subsequent Instagram post.
Aiman reminded netizens not to depend on reports from anonymous and unreliable social media sources and instead visit the official social media accounts of their favourite stars to obtain the latest information about them.
