Kind Kones raises funds for breast cancer awareness

Vegan ice-cream brand Kind Kones has launched a special edition double scoop in conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.

Purchase the brand's pink pair, a double scoop of its pink flavours, Raspberry Ripple and Strawberry, and 20 per cent from each purchase will be donated to Pink Unity, under the National Cancer Society of Malaysia.

On top of that, Pink Unity masks will be placed in all four outlets, and customers can choose to pre-order the masks to further raise funds for the organisation.

Founder Serina Bajaj says the brand wants to help the environment and people in its own ways. "We believe we need to shed light on breast cancer awareness. Most of our following are women and we feel we have the need to support the cause and make a real impact," she says.

The brand not only wants to raise funds but also awareness about the importance of prevention and early screening by featuring stories from breast cancer survivors to break the stigma around breast talk. This campaign will run until the end of the month.

Kind Kones is located at Plaza Damansara, 1 Mont Kiara, bangsar Village 1 and Mid Valley Megamall. Visit www.kindkones.com or follow it on Instagram at @kindkones for more information.
