Bosch collaborates with ride-sharing platform in Balik Kampung for Free contest

KUALA LUMPUR: Bosch’s Automotive Aftermarket division in collaboration with Riding Pink, a ride-sharing platform by women for women, reunited two best friends through its Balik Kampung for Free contest, which was organised recently.

“I was born and raised in big town KL, and have never experienced Raya in the kampung before,” said Stella Chu, who was one of the contest winners.

“I have always thought of paying my best friend Atikah Roslan a surprise visit during Raya at her kampung in Maran, Kuantan. When I read about this contest online, I decided to give it a shot!”

Stella and Atikah were part of a management trainee programme with a multinational company in Kuala Lumpur when they first met in 2014.

Upon completion of the two-year programme, they parted ways and were only able to keep in touch via social media, while the latter pursued a post-graduate degree in another state.

“I was thrilled when Stella appeared at my doorstep on the first day of Raya – this is my best Raya ever!” said Atikah.

“We are delighted that our initiative helped make a difference in the lives of the contestants and brought joy during the festive season,” Bosch Automotive Aftermarket marketing manager Go Boon Wah said in a statement.

Go further said that the contest also brought nine other female Malaysians safely home to be with their friends and families across West Malaysia.

All cars that made the trips underwent servicing and maintenance by Bosch before embarking on their journey, as part of Bosch Automotive Aftermarket’s “One Wrong Part Ruins Everything” vehicle safety campaign.

Bosch’s Automotive Aftermarket division provides the aftermarket and repair shops worldwide with a complete range of diagnostic and repair shop equipment and a wide range of spare parts – from new and exchange parts to repair solutions – for passenger cars and commercial vehicles.
