Grand Lexis Port Dickson lives up to Hanna Hussein’s expectations
MY family and I rarely go on a holiday together so when my brother and I decided to arrange a weekend getaway for his family and our parents in Port Dickson, we chose to stay at one of the most popular resorts there.
Just an hour and a half away from home, Grand Lexis Port Dickson is an exquisite five-star resort with Balinese-inspired water villas which comes complete with a private pool and is surrounded by tropical bliss. Guests can truly relax and enjoy the seaview, while enjoying the company of loved ones.
PRIVATE POOL SUITE
Upon our arrival, we were immediately checked-in and ushered to our water villas.
We booked two 96 square metre Premium Pool Villas that come with two king beds, ideal for four adults. The beds are plush and very comfortable. Luckily, our rooms are side by side although not connected.
Since our villa is the water villa, it is located above the sea. There’s a glass panel on the floor where my two nephews love to peek at the marine life below.
Each villa has a private plunge pool with a mini landscaped garden and a balcony overlooking the beautiful emerald sea. But, what was most important to us was that the pool is covered, so my family and I didn’t have to wear fully covered swimsuits and could freely let our hair down.
The room also has a spacious bathroom with a separate shower room as well as outdoor rainshower. It is located next to the pool area, so we can easily go in and out of the pool directly to the bathroom without dripping water on the wooden floor of the bedroom. Bath amenities are also provided so there is no need to bring toiletries.
The villas also come with a dry kitchenette, complete with a microwave oven and electric kettle for light cooking. It’s perfect for a small family gathering or a weekend getaway.
BREAKFAST AT ROSELLE
Our room includes breakfast for two at the Roselle Coffee House, an all-day dining restaurant offering local and international delights daily.
Since it is the weekend, the restaurant has expanded the area where guests can opt to dine al-fresco. My family and I opt for a table overlooking the public pool area.
If you prefer to sit outside, you do not have to join the crowd inside to take your food, as there are buffet tables set up outside too. Don’t worry, whatever is available inside is also available outside.
The food choices include nasi lemak and fried noodles, as well as American-style breakfast and light continental breakfast.
If you are staying longer, don’t worry as the chef will change the menu daily!

The hotel also has a gymnasium, complimentary for all guests.
