THE sky over Genting Highlands will be lit up in brilliant hues and vivid, striking colours as Resorts World Genting bids farewell to 2019 and ushers in the new year.
Aside from a list of non-stop celebrations that began in November, a spectacular visual feast has been lined up in the form of a stunning fireworks display set to take place at 11.59pm on Dec 31.
The best vantage points to catch the cavalcade of colours, include FUHU, Park Avenue Lounge, High Line Rooftop Market, and SkyAvenue outdoor open deck (above Highline). The event is subject to good weather conditions. If poor weather persists, the fireworks display will be rescheduled to the following day at 8pm.
Those dining along the open deck at Level 4 of Sky Avenue are advised to gather earlier as there will be a crowd.
Alternatively, you can make reservations to avoid disappointment. Other restaurants such as Park Avenue Lounge, offer an exquisite, six-course dinner while Genting Grand’s Coffee Terrace will be offering an elaborate buffet spread for New Year’s Eve and New Year's Day. Meanwhile, The Olive has a five-course New Year's Eve dinner.
After catching the 8-minute fireworks display, you can opt to stay on at the Sky Avenue outdoor open deck and enjoy the cool breeze with a view, or head on out to Zouk for the after party.
