1,000 limited Mitsubishi Triton Phantom Plus Edition available in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM), the official distributor of Mitsubishi Motors vehicles in Malaysia, announced that limited units of its special edition Triton is available for order.

Only 1,000 units of the Phantom Plus Edition Triton truck in Jet Black Mica colour is up for grabs.

It comes with one of the Triton's most rugged body kits and accessories to match. It is accentuated with a decorative roof with LED lighting and a front and rear bumper garnish with red accent.

Adding to its aggression are side door moulding, tailgate assist, Phantom tailgate moulding with rear spoiler, sports bar with matte finishing, sporty 'Phantom Plus' body decals, and a rugged wheel arch with 18-inch gloss black alloy wheels with Yokohama Geolander all-terrain tires.

The truck is powered by a 2.4-litre MIVEC turbodiesel engine, which produces 181 PS max power and 430 Nm max torque with Variable Valve Timing technology. It is fitted with Easy Select 4WD with off-road mode and Hill Descent Control. The truck has a turning radius of 5.9m.

Cabin features sporty leatherette seats, red accent carpet mat, and a 9-Inch touchscreen audio with Apple Carplay and Android Ready as standard. All accessories upgrade are from Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia authorized dealers.

Safety features include Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake-Force Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA), Active Stability Control (ASC), Traction Control (TC), Rest Reminder, Hill Start Assist (HSA), and Trailer Stability Assist (TSA).

Driving Video Recorder (DVR) is offered by MMM authorized dealers as standard at all Mitsubishi Motors showrooms nationwide.

The Triton Phantom Plus Edition is priced at RM139,700 for Peninsular Malaysia (on-the-road and without insurance for private registration). It comes with a warranty of 5-Years or 200,000km whichever comes first.

Mitsubishi Motors has reportedly sold 9,420 units of Triton for its Financial Year 2021 (April 2021- March 2022), which is said to be a 24 per cent increase compared to the same period in the previous year.
