JOHOR BARU: A region 2 marine police team yesterday foiled an attempt to smuggle 18,000 packs of contraband cigarettes into the state.
This is a new tactic where the packs are thrown into the waters in Mersing and their accomplice will pick up the cigarettes in a speedboat.
