THE situation in Gaza is not war, it is a massacre. A massacre of the innocents, a barbaric act, a brutal manifestation of decades of systematic occupation and land grabbing through illegal settlements, deprivations and human right violations and dismissal with impunity by the Israeli regime of over 60 United Nations resolutions.
What is happening is just unconscionable. And the bias of Western powers and mainstream Western media on this is also painfully appalling.
We pray and hope that we can see not only the ending of the occupation, the stoppage of systematic land grabbing through illegal settlements, the dismantling of the Wall and other vicious mobility impositions, the lifting of the crippling siege, but also actualising the protection, respect and promotion of the rights of Palestinians refugees to return to their homes and properties as stipulated in the United Nations General Assembly resolution 194.
We pray and hope that peace with justice will prevail and that people with a conscience will rise to the occasion.
