Palestine appreciates Malaysian Help

KOTA KINABALU: Palestine ambassador to Malaysia Dr Anwar Al-Agha commended Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak for his firm understanding and support towards the Palestinian, particularly in the Israel-Gaza conflict.

He said the Palestine counted very much on Malaysian government to stand with their people in this trying time.

"We (Malaysian and Palestine) have historical support and we share many values. We hope to continue enhance relationship with Malaysia.

"Malaysia has stood firmly with Palestinian people and believes that Palestine has the right to live freely. We have spiritual support from the government and we feel home in this country."

Anwar was speaking to reporters during his visit to Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan's Raya open house here. Also present was Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Musa Aman.

At the event, Musa presented RM100,000 contribution through Al-Aman Foundation to Anwar for humanitarian cause.
