KUALA LUMPUR: Tin price on the Kuala Lumpur Tin Market (KLTM) closed US$50 lower at US$22,400 a tonne on lack of buyers, said a dealer.
He said the lower close was in tandem with the decline on the London Metal Exchange (LME), where it fell by US$40 to US$22,430 a tonne.
Over at the KLTM, buyers bid for 45 tonnes against offers of 85 tonnes.
Turnover increased to 65 tonnes from 53 tonnes on Monday with Japanese, Europeans and locals dominating today's trade.
The premium between the KLTM and the LME narrowed to US$375 a tonne from US$385 a tonne previously. Bernama
