JOHOR BARU: SINCE 2009, Bin Abdat Trading (BAT), an electronic and computer supplies shop, has attracted many customers and computer enthusiasts because of its broad range of products and affordable prices.
Located at 27, Jalan Padi Ria 19, Bandar Baru Uda, the shop offers new, used and reconditioned PC and laptop computers priced from as low as RM400.
LCDs, monitors and hard disks are also offered at affordable prices. A superior quality computer mouse costs only RM10, while a keyboard is priced at RM15.
A new LCD or monitor is priced from RM160 onwards, while the latest CPU (central processing unit) models are priced at RM1,850.
Other items such as printers, USB cables, inks, RAM, modems and speakers are also offered at bargain prices.
“Customers don’t have to worry. These items are covered by a warranty of between six to 12 months,” said 62-year-old owner and manager Nasar Ali Abdat.
He said he started his business in the early 1990s, by supplying products to schools and institutions of higher learning.
He said most of the products were imported in bulk.
“For that reason, the prices here are reasonable compared to other computer outlets,” he said.
Nasar added that the company provided after sales and repair services. His sons, Ali, Abu Bakar and Omar, and nephew Muhammad Rizal are all qualified in computer servicing.
The services provided include repair or installation of computer fans, speakers, mouse pad, main board or graphic and chip replacement. The charges range from RM50 to RM350.
