Its group marketing communications director Anita Chung said that they had printed plaques in regards to the national mourning day of 20 bodies of MH17 flown to Malaysia.

"We have assigned on-duty manager to keep tab on announcement of the time, which is any minute between 1045am and 1115am.

"He or she will announce it to other staff here, Tawau and Bintulu to stop their works at that moment," she added.

Anita said the hotel here would also invite patrons attending two functions tomorrow to mourn for those victims.

There are also signage being placed at hotels' check-in counters to remind guests on the event.
