Recycle and get tickets to Legoland

JOHOR BARU: PLASTIC is one of the most popular and useful materials of modern times.

Its popularity is part of the problem: we now use about 20 times more plastic than we did 50 years ago.

However, we can optimise the life span of plastic by reusing and recycling items as many times as possible. In the meantime, we can do our bit to improve things.

Recycling plastic bottles is one easy way to help.

Recently, Coca-Cola Malaysia and Legoland Malaysia Resort embarked on a mission to recycle and lend Mother Earth a helping hand with their plastic bottle recycling campaign.

The fun recycling programme is on from now till Sept 30.

To join the initiative, one has to recycle a 1.5l empty plastic bottle or two 500ml bottles from brands under The Coca-Cola Company — Coca-Cola, Coke Light, Coke Vanilla, Sprite, Fanta, A&W or Heaven and Earth.

To participate, you can drop the empty bottles at a booth located at the entrance area of the Theme Park.

You would also receive a one-day ticket voucher to enter the theme or theme and water park at the Legoland Malaysia Resort. The voucher is for children aged 3 to 11.

The voucher is redeemable at the Legoland Malaysia ticket window together with a purchase of a paid combo adult ticket to the Theme Park and Water Park, valid for the same day.

This recycling initiative with Legoland Malaysia Resort is part of the world’s largest beverage company’s commitment to environmentally sustainable packaging through its three pronged reduce, reuse and recycle strategy.

The Coca-Cola Company aims to recover 50 per cent or the equivalent bottles and cans used annually by 2015.

The Legoland Malaysia Resort brings together a Theme Park, Water Park and Hotel in one Lego-themed location.

It is one of the country's newest and popular family holiday destination with more than 70 hands-on rides, slides, shows and attractions for families with children aged 2 to 12.

It is the first of its kind in Asia and offers adventure, education and fun action-packed day trips.
