TICKETS for David Blaine’s show Real Or Magic Asia Tour 2014 on Sept 5 at Stadium Negara are selling fast. The VIP tickets for the one-night only show organised by LOL Events and Livescape Asia are already sold out.
Blaine is an American street magician who is known for his mind-blowing endurance stunts. His first stunt was Buried Alive in 1999 where he was entombed for seven days in a three-tonne water tank in New York.
The following year, Blaine attempted Frozen in Time during which he was frozen into a block of ice for 72 hours in Times Square, New York. He followed this with Vertigo where he stood for 35 hours on a 55cm-wide platform 30 metres off the ground in Bryant Park in New York followed by Above the Below where he went without food for 44 days.
Drowned Alive involved submersion in a water-filled sphere for seven days and seven nights, with Blaine receiving air and food through tubes. In a dramatic finale, he failed to break the world record for holding his breath under water while simultaneously escaping heavy chains.
In 2013, he Blaine attempted his most electrifying stunt, Electrified, spending three days and three nights standing in the middle of one million volts of electric currents at New York’s Pier 54 with only a chainmail bodysuit as a barrier between himself and the currents.
Blaine is on his first Asia tour and will stage illusions and endurance stunts in a 90-minute performance.
