KUALA LUMPUR: Cahya Mata Sarawak Bhd's pre-tax profit for the first half ended June 30, 2014 rose to RM164.84 million from RM123.63
million in the same period last year.
Revenue increased to RM756.60 million from RM648.69 million previously, it said in a filing to Bursa Malaysia today.
"The higher revenue was due to the contributions from cement, construction materials and trading, construction and road maintenance and property development divisions," it said.
Cahya Mata said the company's prudent financial policies, healthy balance sheet and strong corporate governance measures allowed it to maximise its participation in the Sarawak growth story and position itself to ensure long-term sustainable growth. -- BERNAMA
