KUALA LUMPUR: IHH Healthcare Bhd’s net profit for the second quarter ended June 30 surged to RM209.10 million from RM156.75 million in the corresponding period last year. Revenue also increased to RM1.87 billion from RM1.68 billion previously, the company said in a filing yesterday. IHH attributed the higher results mainly to positive organic growth and increased scale. Overall, the group is confident that its strong balance sheet and cash flow will support its expansion plans as it expects to continue registering earnings growth this year barring any unforeseen circumstances, IHH said.
