SHAH ALAM: Some 300 cyclists rode about 26km around the city centre and distributed Jalur Gemilang to schools for the Merdeka celebrations.
Mayor Datuk Mohd Jaafar Mohd Atan flagged off the event at about 8.30am at Wisma MBSA.
The schools they visited included SMK Seksyen 7, SMK Seksyen 19 and SMK Seksyen 24.
The event was organised by the Shah Alam Municipal Council.
Participants included representatives from government agencies such as the police force and state Health Department, Tenaga Nasional Bhd and Grand Bluewave Hotel.
