COPENHAGEN: WORLD No 1 Lee Chong Wei powered into the semi-final of the World Championships in Copenhagen on Friday after seeing off China's Wang Zhengming in the quarter-finals.
Chong Wei, 31, who has yet to win a world title, thumped the former World Junior Champion 21-8, 21-11 in 40 minutes
The Malaysian two-time silver medalist, will play the winner of the quarter-final tie between Taiwan's Chou Tien Chen and Denmark's Viktor Axelsen, in the semi-finals.
World No 2 Chen Long, is the other big name who will feature in the semi-finals of the men's singles today.
The world No 2 will play fifth seed Tommy Sugiarto of Indonesia.
