KL shares remain lower mid-morning

KUALA LUMPUR: Share prices on Bursa Malaysia remained lower at mid-morning today on lacklustre trade.

At 11.05am, the benchmark FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) was 0.76 of a point easier at 1,865.35, after opening 0.65 of a point lower at 1,865.46.

On the scoreboard, the Finance Index eased 11.5 points to 17,454.82, the Industrial Index slipped 8.53 points to 3,234.45 and the Plantation Index declined 3.92 points to 8,523.65.

The FBMT100 Index edged up 0.56 of a point to 12,583.51 and the FBM 70 rose 22.41 points to 14,195.87.

The FBM Emas Index dipped 3.1 points to 12,992.01 and the FBM Ace declined 20.75 points to 6,882.95.

Losers outpaced gainers by 413 to 255 with 261 counters unchanged, 693 counters untraded and 14 others suspended.

Turnover stood at 1.17 billion shares worth RM552.60 million.

Among actives, Sumatec Resources improved two sen to 48.5 sen, PDZ Holdings rose 1.5 sen to 32 sen and Wintoni Group edged up half a sen to eight sen.But Sanichi Technology declined three sen to 2.5 sen.

For the heavyweights, Maybank increased two sen to RM10.12, TNB jumped eight sen to RM12.46, Axiata was flat at RM6.93 and Public Bank eased four sen to RM19.24.-- Bernama
