KUALA LUMPUR: The ringgit remained easier against the US dollar on further sell off of the local unit as more investors were returning to the safe haven currency, dealers said.
At 9.25am, the ringgit was quoted at 3.1840/1860 to the US dollar from 3.1766/1786 on Tuesday.
Against other major currencies, the local unit was traded mixed.
The ringgit increased against the yen to 3.0263/0288 from Tuesday's 3.0285/0316 but declined against the euro to 4.1809/1842 from 4.1664/1697 yesterday.
Against the British pound, it appreciated to 5.2434/2477 from 5.2535/2584 on Tuesday but fell against the Singapore dollar to 2.5399/5425 from 2.5338/5372 yesterday.-- Bernama
