TUMPAT: The country’s crime index has dropped by 23.5 per cent as of August, said Home Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi yesterday.
In a speech during a meeting with 500 police members deployed to oversee the ongoing Pengkalan Kubor by-election, Zahid credited the improvement to the police’s dedication in boosting its crime prevention and crime-solving rate.
