MH17: Afzal and Marsha finally home

KUCHING: It was another rounds of sadness for the families of Tambi Jiee and Ariza Ghazalee as they received the remains of the couples' two children today.

Tears started to flow on the faces of some family members as the Hercules C130 aircraft flying the remains of Muhammad Afzal Tambi and his younger sister Marsha Azmeena arrived at the base at 11.30am.

Prayers were recited after the two caskets, with one smaller than the other, were placed inside two respective hearses.

The hearses later left the base for Jamek Mosque in Petra Jaya near here where the jenazah prayer for the two siblings will be performed after the Friday prayers.

The remains of Afzal and Marsha, aged 17 and 15 respectively, will be laid to rest at the Semariang Muslim Cemetery in Kampung Semariang near here.

That is the cemetery where their parents and elder brother, Muhammad Afif, 19, were laid to rest.
