Student killed while trying to take photo of tiger in Indian zoo

NEW DELHI:A school student was killed by a white tiger while attempting to take a photo of the animal at Delhi Zoo on Tuesday, Xinhua news agency reported. A senior official said the student fell into the tiger’s enclosure at around 2 p.m. local time and was mauled to death by the animal. The student was rushed to a local hospital where he was declared dead. Local TV channels reported the boy and school mates had gone for a day trip to the zoo. Authorities have ordered an investigation into the incident. –Bernama
