Rubber prices end higher

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian rubber market closed higher yesterday for the third day, tracking the perfomance on the Tokyo Commodity Exchange (TOCOM), a dealer said.

A dealer said TOCOM rubber futures were probably on course to post their biggest weekly gains since June.

At the close, the Malaysian Rubber Board’s official physical price for tyre-grade SMR 20 earned 3.5 sen to 520 sen a kg while latex-in-bulk eased 0.5 sen to 417.5 sen a kg.

The unofficial closing price for tyre-grade SMR 20 rose 5.0 sen to 521 sen a kg while latex-in-bulk declined one sen to 417 sen a kg. Bernama
