SHAH ALAM: Selangor Menteri Besar Azmin Ali will seek the audience of the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharifuddin Idris Shah tomorrow to present a list of the new state executive councillor line-up.
Speaking at his office at the state secretariat building after clocking in at 7.57am, Azmin said he would finalise the list by the end of the day and corroborate with other Pakatan on this.
"I will meet with Pakatan central committee this afternoon to obtain the name list from each party and we will discuss on the candidates before we make the final decision.
"This would be our second meeting to discuss on the state Exco members as we still need to vet the list of names submitted for consideration.
"The previous Exco members who had served under the tenure of the previous menteri besar would still be considered but at this point there is nothing much I can say," he said.
The four excos from Pas who had remained in office before former menteri besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim officially quit, had resigned yesterday, leaving Azmin with no excos to assist him in running the government.
Azmin, who was about to be in a meeting with the state government's senior staff and management, met the media after he received a warm welcome with people waiting at the lobby since 7.30am.
Azmin promised the people of Selangor that he would execute his responsibilities as the menteri besar in the best regard and highest standard, as expected from any leader of a developed state such as Selangor.
"I am thankful for this opportunity to lead the state government and I would not take the responsibilities trusted upon me for granted," he said.
