TUMPAT: The Meteorological Services Department has forecast fine weather in the morning and rain in the late afternoon in Pengkalan Kubor where polling takes place tomorrow in the state by-election.
Director-general Datuk Che Gayah Ismail advised the voters to cast their ballots in the morning.
“Rain can be expected from the afternoon,” he told Bernama when contacted.
A total of 23,929 voters are eligible to vote in the by-election, necessitated by the death of three-term assemblyman Datuk Noor Zahidi Omar of the Barisan Nasional (BN) on Aug 20.
The by-election is a three-cornered contest among Mat Razi Mat Ail (rpt) Ail of the BN, Wan Rosdi Wan Ibrahim of PAS and independent candidate Izat Bukhary Ismail Bukhary.
