KLTM slightly higher

KUALA LUMPUR: The Kuala Lumpur Tin Market (KLTM) yesterday finished higher with the metal gaining US$50 to US$20,750 a tonne despite a lower close on the London Metal Exchange.

On the LME, the metal fell US$205 to US$20,550 a tonne.

A dealer said the KLTM price was supported by some scattered buying from Europeans and the locals.

At the opening, buyers stood at 55 tonnes while offers amounted to only 20 tonnes.

Turnover decreased to 30 tonnes, from 49 tonnes last Friday, while the premium between the KLTM and the LME was slightly higher at US$585 a tonne from US$330 a tonne, previously. Bernama
