MH17: Dutch and Australian govts to decide when they can enter crash site

SEPANG: Defence Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein said the Dutch and Australian authorities should be allowed to decide on when to enter the MH17 crash site in Ukraine as they still have a high number of victims yet to be identified.

He stressed that entering the site cannot be done unilaterally and must be done with the two countries.

Speaking at a Press conference after witnessing the arrival of five victims at Bunga Raya Complex this morning, Hishammuddin said a defence attache to be based in Kiev will be appointed soon.

"We have a list of candidates for this task," he said.

Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai who was at the conference thanked all involved in the preparation. He said there were 120 next of kin present at the complex this morning.

He said there are still two more Malaysians yet to be identified. Forty two have since been identified.

On another matter, he said the technical probe team has analysed the criminal report to ascertain what had happened and hoped the perpetrators will be brought to court.

Today, remains of Matthew Ezekial Sivagnanam, Liew Yau Chee and his wife, Lee Kiah Yeen, Meling Mula and Muhammad Afruz Tambi returned and given full military honours.
