GEORGE TOWN: GEORGE TOWN: The two fishermen whose boat was reported to have capsized was found under the Penang Bridge.
Abdul Malik Ramli and Mohd Ruzaimi Ishak, both 35, were found under the middle span of the bridge at 3.40pm by the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency officials.
Penang marine police First Territory commander Assistant Commissioner Mohd Yusof Abdullah said they were found without any injuries and were brought to the Batu Uban base shortly after.
"The men who had gone out to fish at 10am started sinking near the waters of Pantai Jerejak at about 3pm. That is when we received a distress call from them.
"They managed to bring the boat close the bridge and managed to get to safety," he said when contacted.
