Promoting breast cancer awareness

PETALING JAYA: In conjunction with World Breast Cancer Awareness month, Softlan has launched the We Stand by You awareness campaign to educate consumers on breast cancer prevention.

This year’s campaign focuses on supporting breast cancer patients and survivors, as well as family members, who often serve as a source of strength.

“Softlan continues to support this particular cause because women represent the heart of the home as well as our core consumers. This campaign aims to educate and encourage women to screen and check themselves regularly,” said Colgate-Palmolive Malaysia general manager Peter Torrington.

Softlan is partnering with the Breast Cancer Welfare Association (BCWA), National Cancer Council (Makna) and National Cancer Society Malaysia (NCSM) to raise awareness and has made a commitment to raise a minimum of RM100,000 this month.

With every purchase of Softlan fabric softener, 10 sen will be donated to the brand’s charitable partners.

“The fight against breast cancer requires a concerted effort by many parties, and we are privileged to partner and support BCWA, Makna, and NCSM.

“It is our hope that these funds will aid research and relief efforts tremendously and that all Malaysians join us in proactively educating and empowering the women in our lives,” said Torrington.
