IPOH: Healthcare company Phyto Science Sdn Bhd — which deals in double stem-cell products — and Trillion Team Sdn Bhd entered into an agreement with Koperasi Penyelia dan Kakitangan Kelas Al-Quran dan Fardhu Ain (Kafa) Perak here recently to help supplement the income of the cooperative’s members.
The memorandum of understanding (MoU) focused on several aspects, including economy, health and beauty, to enable Kafa teachers to increase their income by RM200 to RM500.
Kafa Perak chairman Isahak Udin Itam said some 3,000 Kafa teachers in the state will supplement their income by selling Phyto Science products.
He said Kafa Perak set aside RM54,000 as capital for the teachers to start their online business with help from Phyto Science and Trillion Team.
“We are aware that the salary of Kafa teachers is low and as such, we are teaming up with Phyto Science and Trillion Team to help them,” he said after the MoU signing ceremony here.
The MoU was signed by Isahak Udin, who represented Kafa Perak; Trillion Team Sdn Bhd chairman Arif Mat Tasan and Phyto Science Sdn Bhd president Datuk Razali Lasim.
Meanwhile, Arif said, for a start, in the first phase, his company aimed to increase the teachers’ salaries by a few hundred ringgit a month as sales agents of Phyto Science products.
“We hope this will help them financially and to develop an interest in the world of business.
“Ultimately, we want them to increase their incomes by RM5,000 to RM15,000 in the second and third phases,” he said. By Audrey Dermawan
