Puchong Jaya interchange close from Nov 3 to Nov 30

KUALA LUMPUR: Several roads near the Puchong Jaya interchange will be closed in stages from Monday to Nov 30, to facilitate construction of the LRT Line Extension Project (LEP).

Prasarana Malaysia Berhad (Prasarana) in a statement here today said the closure was to accommodate the launching of segmental box girders that will form the guide way for pier P124 of the LRT Line Extension project.

“Total closure of the slip road from Bukit Jalil Highway to Puchong Jaya Interchange heading towards Putrajaya, to help ease traffic congestion during peak hours.

“The slip road will be temporarily opened during morning peak hours, from 6.30am until 10.30am and evening peak hours from 4.30pm until 8.30pm,” Prasarana said.

The statement said there will also be a temporary closure from 12.00am until 6.00am of the junction between Jalan Puchong (from Jalan Klang Lama) and Bandar Puchong, and also a temporary closure from 12am until 6am of the service road at Jalan Bandar Puchong Jaya towards the Puchong Jaya interchange.

The statement said, during the temporary road closure, traffic from Jalan Klang Lama and Jalan Bandar Puchong Jaya headed towards Putrajaya will be directed to use the alternative route via the Damansara-Puchong Expressway (LDP) and Kesas Highway.

Prasarana said the road closure was for the safety of motorists as the work involved heavy machinery and lifting of materials.--BERNAMA
