SUNGAI PETANI: A 23-year-old man died on the spot after being shot three times on the chest in Jalan Kuala Ketil here late yesterday in what believed to be a turf war between underworld gangs.
In the 10.30pm incident at Taman Songket, the deceased identified as M Gurubaran, 23, was shot by a man and his accomplice while riding a motorcycle.
It was learnt that Gurubaran, from Taman Keladi, had gone to the area to meet up with his friend.
The body was sent to the Sultan Abdul Halim Hospital for a post-morterm and the case had been classified under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
