YIT to develop two property projects in Terengganu

KUALA TERENGGANU: The Terengganu Islamic Foundation (YIT) will develop two property projects in the state worth RM7 million from internally generated funds, said director Datuk Mohd Yasim Awang.

The projects comprise seven units of three-storey shophouses worth RM3 million in Bandar Permaisuri in Setiu and a RM4 million five-storey building in Kuala Terengganu.

The Setiu project, tenders for which will be issued soon, is expected to be completed in end-2015, he told Bernama.

YIT will also build four kindergartens costing RM3 million each in Binjai (Kemaman), Seberang Takir (Kuala Nerus), Losong (Kuala Terengganu) and in Bandar Al-Muktaffi Billah Shah (Dungun).

YIT also has state government approval to build the Darul Iman pondok (traditional Islamic school) in Kampung Pelandan, Kuala Berang and the Institut Pengajian Islam (INSPI) Binjai in Kemaman, each costing RM4.8 million, he added.-- Bernama
