KUALA LUMPUR: Government-linked companies (GLC) have delivered significant performance since the launch of the GLC Transformation Programme in 2005 says Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.
He posted the message together with a pictograph on his Facebook account at about 10.40am, today.
Based on the pictograph, GLCs net profit grew at a compounded annual rate of 11.1 per cent from 2004 to 2013.
The pictograph also stated that 20 GLC's (G20) market capitalisation tripled from RM140billion in May 2004 to RM435billion in October 2014.
As a result, from 2004 to 2013, the G20 were able to return RM93billion in dividends and RM57billion in taxes.
