City Hall wants karaoke under flyover to move out

KUALA LUMPUR: City Hall will discuss with the Federal Territories Land and Mines Office (PTG) to evict the karaoke operator under the flyover near the Loke Yew roundabout, here.

City Hall deputy director-general (project implementation and maintenance) Datuk Mohd Najib Mohd said the land belonged to PTG and the council needed to check the status of the premises.

“We have to check if PTG has given the karaoke operator the licence to run its business there. We will advise the operator to relocate to another place.

“If they are adamant on staying put, we will ask PTG’s permission to demolish the stalls as their presence is a nuisance,” he said.

Streets had previously reported that the karaoke next to Fraser Business Park in Jalan Metro Pudu operated at night and food stalls were open in the day. There is also a car wash there during the day. By Fairuz Mohd Shahar
