CAMERON HIGHLANDS: Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin arrived at the District and Land office here to chair the Special Committee on Flash Floods in Cameron Highlands meeting.
He was accompanied by Pahang Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Adnan Yaakob, Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir as well as Cabinet ministers.
Also present were Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar and Armed Forces Chief Gen Tan Sri Zulkifeli Mohd Zin.
Top on the agenda of Muhyiddin's visit is to come out with a rehabilitation plan for the highlands.
This is his first visit to the highlands since the Nov 5 mud floods and landslides which claimed five lives.
A press conference is scheduled after the meeting.
Thereafter, Muhyiddin is expected to tour the disaster sites.
