Successful end for carnival

CHERAS: The third leg of an Under-12 basketball carnival organised by Nestle Koko Krunch Breakfast Cereals, in collaboration with the sports division of the Education Ministry and SportsUnite Sports Club, saw 106 boys and girls teams taking part at SJKC Taman Connaught in Cheras.

The carnival started with a 60-minute coaching clinic where the children were taught the basics of the game and put through some simple basketball drills.

The first round of the carnival was a round robin format which allowed each team to play at least three matches.

Nestle Breakfast Cereals’ Desmond Kok and Lim Siew Ling were impressed with the response.

“This Under-12 basketball carnival is yet another CSR initiative by Nestle Koko Krunch to promote the sports culture and the development of the game at the grassroots,” said Siew Ling.
