JOHOR BARU: The Sultanah Aminah Hospital’s Endocrine Unit will be celebrating World Diabetes Day 2014 tomorrow.
The theme for this year is Healthy Living and Diabetes.
The programme will be held at Foyer 2 of the hospital’s specialist polyclinic from 8am to 1pm.
Organised in collaboration with the hospital’s patient education department, the programme aims to create awareness of the control of diabetes and enhance patients’ knowledge of healthy food choices and encourage them to adopt a healthy lifestyle.
Among the activities are an aerobic session, health screening, talks on diet and the consumption of medicines and insulin, a talk by the hospital’s medical and endocrinology specialist and an exhibition on diabetes.
