Uniten zombie night run

KAJANG: Universiti Tenaga Nasional (Uniten) Soft-skills Enhancement and Learning Support (Seals), in conjunction with Revive, organised REV-UP The Walking Dead — a zombie inspired 5km charity night run around the Uniten Putrajaya campus.

Participants started at the main entrance, then make their way over the pedestrian bridge to the administrator office, around the Uniten loop, then head towards the College of Engineering car park and finally towards the College of Information Technology building.

Permanis Sdn Bhd sponsored RM5,000 and Revive isotonic drinks, which the students creatively used as ‘power up’ in the run. The fun run attracted 650 participants, mostly Uniten students.

The students collected RM3,500 from the run and the proceeds will be channelled to the Malaysian Leprosy Relief Association.

Besides raising funds for charity, the run was an opportunity for local and international students to mingle.

Shobana Ganeswaran won RM500 in the women’s category.

In the men’s category, the RM500 prize was split between winners Vehlan Haridass and Muhammad Shamil Mohd Shukri. By Lim Yeh Ern
