KUALA LUMPUR: In an effort to spread and preserve the richness of flora and fauna in Cameron Highlands, environmentalist Datin Aseema Singhal recently launched her blog called Aseemas Cafe.
Aseema aspires to see a shift towards more sustainable development and agricultural practices such as organic farming and ecotourism.
“To achieve this, we have to create environmental awareness through campaigns and getting Malaysians involved into it,” said Aseema. Her spouse Datuk Vinod Kumar runs a family business in Cameron Highlands.
Some 30 guests, comprising family, friends and residents from Cameron Highlands attended the blog launch in Bangsar.
The blog aims to save Cameron Highlands from being destroyed and to encourage farmers and tourists to stop using plastic bags.
