SANDAKAN: Three workers at a noodle factory were killed when a boiler exploded at the factory in Jalan Chong Hwa here today.
Sandakan Fire and Rescue zone chief Andree Andrew said the victims were identified Hayadi Baid, Sahril Muhd Amin and Herman Kaco, all in the 30s.
Andrew said there were trapped underneath the rubble and one of the bodies was brought out at 2.30pm and sent to Duchess of Sandakan hospital.
Initial investigation showed 60 per cent of the factory’s structure collapsed.
