Great bargains at Habib Jewels

KUALA LUMPUR: THE annual Habib Jewels Cuci Gudang sale is back with discounts up to 70 per cent.

For the first time, Habib Jewels would also include its Pandora, Hearts on Fire and Ice Watch range for the sale.

Habib Jewels managing director Datuk Meer Sadik Habib said he expected a 30 per cent increase in its sales through the Cuci Gudang campaign.

The promotion, which ends tomorrow, would be Habib Jewels’s last before the implementation of Goods and Services Tax (GST) in April.

“Six per cent is a huge margin for jewellery. Customers should take advantage of this bargain,” he said.

Apart from personal use, Meer said jewellery like gold and diamonds were also great for investment purposes, adding that gold bars certified for investments are exempt from GST.

“Regardless of the GST, Malaysia is still one of the best place in the world to buy gold because of its great prices.

“That is why we also get many customers from Singapore and Korea,” he said.

Cuci Gudang sales are held in eight outlets nationwide — Ampang Point, Gurney Plaza in Penang, Plaza Angsana in Johor Baru, Mydin Mall in Ayer Keroh, Ipoh and Alor Setar, Mydin Hypermarket in Seremban 2 and Central Square in Sungai Petani.

Meer also unveiled the Donna Oro jewellery range from Italy.

“This new brand is a collection of charm bracelets similar to the Pandora range,” he said.

During the promotion, participating outlets will be opened from 10am to 10pm.
