Setia City's 'charitable' feast

SETIA City Convention Centre is yet again preparing to usher in the holy month of Ramadan. It is sparing no efforts so guests can enjoy the rituals of their iftar in comfort and convenience.

This is the second year they are working together with well-known caterer, Segi Seri, putting in a lot of time and effort into preparations for the fasting month, to ensure guests get the very best.

Like last year, it will be held at the open air Event Lawn of Setia City Convention Centre where diners will be able to sample the best of traditional dishes specially prepared by the chefs of Segi Seri.

Dine under the transparent canopy with the stars and moon over you and for the young ones who are not fasting, there will be inflatable bouncers to keep them occupied.

In line with its tagline, "Berbuka Sambil Beramal", part of the proceeds this year will be going to a local charity organisation -- the National Cancer Council or MAKNA.

MAKNA aims to pool and utilise all efforts, expertise and finance of all sectors of the society, to fight cancer and reduce related pain, morbidity and the suffering that cancer patients undergo.

MAKNA will also be having an information counter at the foyer during this Ramadan promotion, whereby guests who wish to donate can do so.

Throughout Ramadan, guests can enjoy a lavish iftar spread which will appeal even to the most discerning diner.

At Setia City Convention Centre, you will be able to try the all-time favourite, grilled lamb marinated with spices and herbs.

Grilled to perfection, it will be served with piping hot Nasi Hujan Panas as well as Daging Masak Hitam Manis and Kuzi Kambing, a variety of "ulam" and different types of spicy sambal.

The Ramadan buffet will be priced at RM78++ per person.

Those who book before July 7, will get a 15 per cent discount.

And one person gets to dine free with a group of 10 paying guests.

The promotion is from July 7 to 25, 6.30pm to 10pm.

For reservations, call 03-3359 5252.
