MUKAH: A 19-year-old girl identified as Atikah Rosli is feared drown after a boat she was in capsized in Sungai Mukah early this morning.
The boatman identified as Hipni Majedi, 36, and three passengers – Jali Ghani, 36, Elivana Wahida Azizi, 15, Sitihawa Bujang, 47 managed to swim to safety and saved by villagers.
The river experienced strong current after heavy rain since yesterday morning.
As of 11:30am, Mukah Fire and Rescue station spokesman said the victim has not been found while search and rescue operation continues.
