BINTULU: Rising waters forced 173 people out from their homes in Sungai Setiam despite clear weather.
Fire and Rescue Department assisted the victims’ relocation to Muhibbah Indoor Stadium at 8.30pm.
Among those relocated includes two infant boys.
Department spokesperson said the water level is at 1.5metre high and receding fast but the water flow is too dangerous for vehicles.
Meanwhile, total victims in flood relief centres throughout the state are at 471 people from 148 families.
Limbang still has the most victims with 351 people from 144 families, followed by Mukah (66 people from 18 families) and Samarahan (54 people from 16 families).
