Sabah biodiversity on display during Asean Foreign Ministers' Retreat

KOTA KINABALU: While the Foreign Ministers from the 10-member countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) start their retreat meeting, the spouses will be attending an alternate programme.

The spouses will be briefed about Sabah's rich biodiversity showcased through two conservation areas.

They will be visiting Menara Tun Mustapha to attend a briefing on Yayasan Sabah Group initiatives and go on a virtual reality tour to Maliau Basin and Danum Valley.

The ladies will then visit Batik and Sabah's Pearls Exhibition before heading to Tun Mustapha Gallery to attend a fashion show and a luncheon before returning to Sutera Harbour Resort.

The Asean Foreign Ministers' Retreat which concludes tomorrow is a kick-start to Malaysia's chairmanship of Asean this year.

The Ministers will be discussing Asean Community Building 2015 as well as Asean Community's Post-2015 Vision while exchanging views on international and regional issues of common concern as well as means to enhance Asean relations with its partners and global community in their meeting tomorrow.
