ALOR STAR: Bina Darulaman Berhad (BDB) is organising charity golf to raise fund for flood victims in Kelantan.
The “Flood Relief Charity Golf 2015” is open to organisations, individuals, corporate sector and the public.
It will be held this Saturday (Jan 31) at Darulaman Golf and Country Club in Jitra with tee-off scheduled at 8am.
Amount rose from the event together with contributions from BDB and its subsidiaries vendors would be presented to Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir to be channelled to the flood victims.
BDB Group Managing Director Datuk Izham Yusoff said the charity golf event was part of BDB’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative to help ease the burden of those affected by the massive flood.
“Our hearts go out to everyone affected by the flood in Kelantan who had suffered huge losses in the disaster.
“We pledge to give our best in helping to alleviate the grief suffered by the victims. We pray for their safety and well-being.
“That is our calling, our cause and commitment. We would like to thank everyone for their contribution,” he said in a press statement today.
The National Security Council (NSC), in a recent news report, had confirmed the massive flood that hit Kelantan was the worst in the history of the state.
Checks showed that at least 2,500 homes had been totally destroyed in the disaster.
